Property Description

This is a stunningly restored heritage building with five bedrooms and five bathrooms, inside Tarifa’s castle walls. Some of the original façade of the building has been preserved; this building is of cultural importance in Tarifa as it was once the home of the painter Agustin Segura Iglesias.

Located at a stone’s throw from Plaza la Paz and Los Melli, one of Tarifa’s original tapas bars. Whilst being in such a central location this house has the highest quality windows and security, so it is a comfortable and tranquil holiday option. You can enjoy the charms of the old town and not need to worry about being kept up at night.

The house opens onto the fabulous open-plan kitchen, living and dining room. A large, cavernous room with ceilings up to the third floor and a sky light; the space is flooded with sunshine.   The kitchen is well equipped and modern, occupying the length of the room in a single long unit. There is a four-hob induction stove, oven, tall American stainless-steel fridge / freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, orange juicer and blender for smoothies. The food market is a two-minute walk from the house, so you can buy the freshest of produce for your meals – organic fruit and veg, tuna from the bay, and local Retinto beef. That is if you decide to eat in; Tarifa has become a real foodie mecca.

The sitting room consists of a comfortable sofa and armchairs and there is a LED smart TV. There is a large farmhouse style wooden dining table, made by a local Tarifa carpenter, that comfortably seats ten people. To access the downstairs bedrooms one passes the waterfall feature and French windows that can be opened onto a small interior terrace; this is a modern home with lots of earthy tones and natural materials and plants that make it feel very homely and luxurious.

There are two bedrooms downstairs, both en-suite with walk-in showers, sink and WC. One of the bedrooms is a double and the other a twin. This property offers top-range comfort at a sensible price.

The other three designer perfect bedrooms are on the first floor, they are all doubles. All the bedrooms have their own bathroom, with walk in showers and there is one bath. There is wardrobe space in all the rooms.  

Up the last flight of stairs is the rooftop terrace with sparkling plunge pool and sun loungers to enjoy the Tarifa atmosphere and the fabulous Spanish sunshine. The terrace enjoys views over the old town of Tarifa and on clear days out across the Straits to the mountains in Morocco. This is a stunning and spoiling property for your holidays in Tarifa.

End cleaning is not included in the cost and is 150€ for all bookings.  However, in all cases you are responsible for keeping the property and all its contents in the same state of cleanliness, repair and condition as at the commencement of the holiday. The owner reserves the right to make deductions from the security deposit for any extra cleaning, over the number of hours committed to departure cleaning.
