Property Description

I have a real soft spot for this glorious property, it sat abandoned before the current German owners moved in and restored it to its former glory. The property is divided into two parts; two independent apartments with their own access, private garden, rockpool jacuzzi and utter privacy. Only one of the apartments is available for rent, as the owner lives next door in the other – he is very respectful of guests privacy, but on hand if needed. On the other side is the charming casita, which is ideal for an overflow of guests and for the main part remains empty. 

The Majales apartment is a one bedroom home with Moorish style tones and arches, an appropriate tribute to Tarifa’s Al-Andalus history and its ties to Morocco which lie just across the water and visible from the dining area and terraces. 

The property sleeps up to four people in one bedroom and there is a second sitting room with a sofa bed. There are two bathrooms which is handy when there are more than two guests or a family. A very comfortable and luxurious property for any couple looking for a special location for a holiday away from the madding crowds… 

The terrace, garden and jacuzzi are a highlight, complete with sea views.

Los Majales II is next door to Los Majales I and is on the same property as Casa Alcornoque – it is possible to sleep up to 15 people between the three properties. 

Rates & End Cleaning

October – May 180€
June – September 200€
July & August 230€
Rental prices are for two guests, for any additional guests add 30€ a night

There is a 500€ security deposit in the event of any breakages or damage whilst staying at the property, this is refundable within seven days of departure.

End cleaning is included in the cost.  However, in all cases you are responsible for keeping the property and all its contents in the same state of cleanliness, repair and condition as at the commencement of the holiday. The owner reserves the right to make deductions from the security deposit for any extra cleaning, over the number of hours committed to departure cleaning.

PLEASE NOTE:

Renting a car is an absolute necessity at this property, I would recommend a car that is slightly higher off the ground, such as a Citroen Berlingo, Peugeot Partner something of this kind or even just the simple Fiat Panda. This property is accessed via a country track and up a steep hill.

“A super cute little space with its own terrace and garden. It's cosy, Moroccan style with candles all over the place (big plus!). It feels like you are in your own little bungalow. There are direct neighbors, if the place next door is rented out. Which btw is the tiniest house you can imagine - again, cute is the best word that comes to mind. However, you hardly see each other. The pool, terrace and garden are your own and the way everything is set up prevents direct views. Speaking of which, the view is STUNNING!!! You have direct views on a mountains meet ocean situation. As kitesurfers this was especially appreciated as we could always check the wind and weather situation from above. On clear days you see the mountains and coastline of Africa - very pretty at night as well. The house is set in a national park, so you hear donkeys, roosters, birds, horses, cows, dogs and whatnot. It adds to the rustic style in quite a charming way. I think in the 10 days we spent there we turned on music twice. No need. It's not a party place that’s for sure! The owner was super helpful in all matters!”

Close to Tarifa and beaches but far enough away not to hear anything at night. Watching the stars from a hammock on the terrace is highly recommended. Of course we will repeat. “With unbeatable views, 7kms from Tarifa city, composed of several small houses renovated with great taste. They do not lack detail and each stay (independent) has a jacuzzi to relax watching the beach, Tarifa and part of the African continent. The owners, attentive and charming, will recommend beaches, visits, restaurants, etc. for the area. The access is a bit steep so we would recommend an all-terrain vehicle or high car. The price is not cheap but worth it. To be repeated without a doubt…”
