Two courtyard cottages that offer a relaxing, enjoyable and stress-free environment away from the town and positioned within an estate of 80.000m2. Located at just ten minutes’ drive from Tarifa and Bolonia’s famous beaches and contained within electric gates and a forty palm-tree-lined front drive, these properties remains private and secure.
The two courtyard cottages sit next door to one another and work best when rented together. They make for an ideal holiday with friends or a large family, as they share the long 40m2 shaded terrace that said they also work fine rented independently as they are completely self sufficient with their own kitchen. The cottages can be found within the main courtyard of the property, mature and tropical; they are decorated in an elegant, rustic and colonial style.
Both units sleep four, and up to five people, in two bedrooms with a shared bathroom. In Courtyard Cottage I the master bedroom has plenty of room for an additional bed behind the sofa and armchairs and in the Cottage II there is a bunk room with a trundle bed that pulls out for the fifth person. Both apartments have a bathroom with bath, decorated with letters that make up the names of Spanish birds – the decoration is always considered and stylish.
Parking for these two cottages is in the second courtyard behind the properties, Cottage I can access the parking through the kitchen door, otherwise access is through the main courtyard. The swimming pool is located off this main courtyard in the old orange grove and secured with a gate, giving peace of mind to families that are travelling with young children. In the stable courtyard there is a delightful treehouse with a homemade snakes and ladders set and behind this third courtyard is the tennis court.
Other notable features are the orange grove with table tennis table, a sand pit, stunning mature gardens and more wild, untamed fields that lead to idyllic streams. Plenty of animals; horses to groom, glorious walks close to the house that have direct access to Tarifa’s Natural Parks this is a truly a very special property.
The two Courtyard Cottages share use of the grounds, swimming pool and tennis court with clients staying in the Surfer’s Cottage and the Bougainvilla Suite. End cleaning is included in the cost for stays of one week or longer. However, in all cases you are responsible for keeping the property and all its contents in the same state of cleanliness, repair and condition as at the commencement of the holiday. The owner reserves the right to make deductions from the security deposit for any extra cleaning, over the number of hours committed to departure cleaning.
There is private parking to this property in front of the house and access is straightforward on a road in good condition.

There is local food prepared at home if you eat at the cortijo, otherwise there are good places to eat in Tarifa or on the beach. We went during the summer and were able to relax, book yoga classes, play tennis and get massages, all in the same place - the pool was perfect! The pool is only a five minute drive away. “ It’s a perfect destination for beach and relaxation, but close to many fun day trips as well. Over the years the beach has gotten very crowded with wind surfers but there are beaches not far from the villa that are mostly swimmers and sunbathers. The accommodation itself is just perfect. The owners are lovely, the cook is amazing and the rooms are all beautiful. There is a lovely pool, horses, tennis and the town of Tarifa is a 10 minute drive and full of fun bars and restaurants, but you may never want to leave.”
